How much should you spend on wedding invitations?

You started looking for invitations, you have no idea how much they should cost ...

According to TheWeddingReport.com, invitations make up 3% of a wedding budget. So if you plan on spending $28000 on your wedding, a good rule of thumb would be to plan on spending $800-$900 on stationery.

In the end, it all depends on what you want and feel comfortable spending.

I wrote an entire article on this subject on our website.

Who's not talking about Green Weddings?

If you haven't heard about the latest buzz around weddings, you must live in a bubble. Green Weddings is what I am talking about. Even Matt Lauer and Meredith Viera were talking about it yesterday. It's an interesting concept. Here are some tips: organic flowers, organic catering, invitations on recycled paper, transportation running on bio-fuel, digital photos, ... It is a noble undertaking, yet it is not very easy. I would also like to advise the future brides and grooms that it does not come cheap. Plan on spending 10-20% more on eco-friendly alternative vendors or products. However, it's not a small price to pay, if you end up saving the planet.
