Stunning Sterling and Cream
Popularized by Abby at bridal blog Style Me Pretty, and often featured on in my favorite hive at Weddingbee, inspiration (or mood) boards are a creative way to illustrate your wedding day dreams. Working with invitations everyday is certainly inspiring as I often have the privilage of helping brides choose the stationery to match their theme or color scheme. I wanted to try my hand at making a pictorial muse so I used directions provided by Weddingbee blogger Mrs. Lemon.
I chose sterling silver and cream as my theme because it is so very different from my sage and pink themed June nuptials. I wanted to incorporate modern lines like the open back on the J Crew wedding gown, but add softness with a full bouquet and the flowery place cards. I love the shimmer of the favor boxes because it shows that even with muted tones, you can add sparkle! The Stunning Sterling and Cream invitation is one of my favorites on our site as it is printed on a heavy weight cardstock featuring two gorgeous layers topped with silver and cream satin ribbons.
If you were to make an inspiration board, what would it look like? What elements would be most important to you? Comment below, we'd love to hear your ideas!
